How do you photograph a block-long series of buildings from across the street? That was my challenge with this combined high school and middle school. The answer was to not only use a wide-angle lens, but to make four different exposures of the buildings as I panned from left to right, timing each image so that it did not include vehicles, then stitch them together digitally. Finally, I added the sky from my archive of sky photos and adjusted its color, brightness and contrast to harmonize with the existing light on the buildings.
