Often, the challenge of photographing interior spaces is the extreme range of values, from sunlit views outside windows and brilliant lighting fixtures, to relatively dark materials and shadowed spaces within the interior. This space was an excellent example of that challenge. Only through the judicious use of HDR (high-dynamic-range) techniques was I able to render this space as the eye sees it. Also, by using a very wide-angle lens, I was able to give a relatively holistic impression of the space. |
