Sometimes, I will back off to show an entire building and some of its context; other times, it is helpful to move in and focus on some of the details. With this house, which has been lovingly renovated, I felt that a rich story could be told by focusing in on some of the key design elements: the fence, the shrubs, the red-trimmed windows, etc. By carefully balancing this composition, my hope was to create, in a sense, a work of art that complemented the architect's artistic sensitivities.
