Springfield, Ohio, is a once-vibrant manufacturing town that is, by most accounts, past its prime. Yet, as a reminder of its past and as hope for the future, many structures -- homes, mainly -- still exist that have been built and maintained with loving care. My job was to capture some of these homes for publication in a book to celebrate the community's urban renewal. By arriving in the early morning, I was able to image this home in its best light, amid long shadows and the warm light of a morning sun.
