Assignment: In 2005, I was commissioned to photograph the twenty-three acres of gardens adjacent to the Philbrook Museum of Art for a book to commemorate the completion of extensive renovations to the gardens. During this project, I worked closely with the designers of the book, studio blue in Chicago. Over a period of three days, I made some 120 images, a selection of which appears below. Several of the main images were made with a view camera; the remainder were captured digitally. Copies of the book "Philbrook in Bloom" may be purchased through the museum store.
