I saw the original of this ribbon-winning quilt, which was made by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings, at the Paducah Quilt Show in 2014. I liked it so much that I made one like it. I used flannel for the background and wool for the applique pieces, and did all of the blanket stitching by hand, using Valdani thread. Patricia Hechler did the gorgeous quilting for me, on her long arm. The quilt is 101" square, and was finished in February 2018.
